What is transformations

In the previous post we have discussed about word problem solver free and In today's session we are going to discuss about What is transformations.
If we move any shape in any direction then after every rotation we get its original position is said to be transformation. Now we will see some properties based on Transformations. Properties of transformation are given below.
1.    Projective properties
2.    Affine properties
3.    Metric properties
4.    Affine geometry
5.    Projective geometry
Now we will see theorem based on transformation. Theorem of transformation is given below:
Theorem of ceva for concurrent lines;
Theorem of Menelaus for collinear points;
Theorem of pappus – pascal;
And theorem of Desargues;
Now we will discuss the concept of coordinate transformation.
As we know that the Cartesian coordinates system is fully defined by its origin and vectors along x-axis and y-axis.
Let we take first origin ‘O’ and unit vector OX1 and OX2 and we take a point ‘N’ which has coordinates (a, b) relative to that coordinate system.
Then we have new coordinates with the origin O’ and unit vectors OX1 and OX2 and point ‘N’ has coordinates (a', b') that is related to the new coordinate system.
Then the transformation formula between (a, b) and (a', b')
ON= OO' + O'M
 N = O' + a’ O'N1' + b' O'N2'
N = O' + a'(N1' - O') + b' (P2' - O')
With coordinates this will becomes
(a, b) = (ao, bo) + a'((s1, t1) - (ao, bo)) + b'((s2, t2) - (ao, bo))
a = bo + (s1 - ao) a' + (s2 - ao) a'
b = bo + (s1 - bo) a' + (t2 - bo) a'
 With matrix notation this becomes
[a]   [(s1 - ao) (s2 - ao)] [a']   [ao]
=   +[a]   [(t1 - ao) (t2 - ao)] [a']   [ao]
This is all about transformation.
Now we will see How to Find Volume of a Cylinder. Volume of cylinder is given as:
Volume = pi * r2 * h. icse syllabus can be downloaded from many websites.

-->
Solving a word problem is itself an art. For this we need to learn the tips and tricks so that the concept is cleared before we proceed to solve the given problem. Problem solving is not at all possible until the  child completely understands the problem. We are going to discuss here the different types of the key words which usually appear in the word problems and then the methods used to solve the  problems and followed. Here we will discuss some of them:
1.       If in the problem we come across the words like  Add, Join, Join together, Combine, Bring together,  Sum, Added to , In All etc, then we observe that the figures given in the word problem are to be added to get the result.
2.       If we find the words like reduced, Subtracted, decreased,  less etc, then we say that the  result can be attained by  finding the  difference between the two figures.
3.        Repeated addition means subtraction, so when we  come across the problems, where we have to  proceed for finding the value which is based on repeated addition, then we will multiply the given terms.
4.        On the other hand we say that the division means the repeated subtraction, so when we have the problems such that the  value for more terms are given and the unit value is to be calculated, then we say we need to perform the operation of division in the given problem.
We have word problem solver free, which is available online , it supports the learners to understand the methods of solving the given problems and to get the solution. How to Solve Percent Off Calculator

In the previous post we have discussed about How to use Percentages Calculator and In today's session we are going to discuss about Percent Off Calculator, We will first start with the term percent. It clearly means per hundred, so if we are going to  learn about how to find the percentage of the given value, it clearly means that we want to bring it to the standard scale of 100.
If a child is awarded 20 marks out of 25, it will not make us clear how much percent has he scored, so to find the percentage of marks scored , we need to convert the scale of measurement , which is 25 to the scale of 100.
For this we proceed as follows :
First method is to change the denominator of 20 / 25 to 100, in this method we will simply multiply the numerator and the denominator  by 4. Thus it becomes :
( 20 * 4 ) / ( 25 * 4 )
= 80 / 100, thus the percentage will be 80 % as we call it 80 out of 100.
 In the next method, we are simply going to multiply the given fraction by 100 and we come out with the percentage. SO here again we tr to find the percentage of the same score by another method and we will observe that the result in both the cases will be same.
 (20/ 25 ) * 100
= 20 * 100 / 4
= 20 * 4
= 80 %
Percent Off Calculator, which is available online can help us to make the concepts related to percent clear.
 To learn about the Fundamental Theorem Of Algebra, in detail, we can take the help of online math tutor, which can support us to learn the concept of  algebra theorem clearly. It is explained in a very clear manner. ISEET Syllabus is also available online to understand the  pattern of the question papers which have come in the previous years.

How to use Percentages Calculator

In the previous post we have discussed about What is Prime Factorization and In today's session we are going to discuss about How to use Percentages Calculator, In order to understand the concept of percentages calculator, we will learn how to convert the fraction number  or a decimal number in the form of the percentage. Let us first  look at the   given fraction say 2 / 5. Now in order to convert the given fraction number in the form of percentage, we will  make the denominator as 100. Here we observe that the denominator is 5, so in order to convert this denominator into 100, we will multiply the numerator and the denominator be 20 so that the given fraction number 2 / 5 is converted into its equivalent form such that the denominator becomes 100.
 So we write 2/ 5 = ( 2 * 20 ) / ( 5 * 20 )
= 40 / 100
 Thus we concluded that 2 out of 5 also means 40 out of 100. So it is termed as 40 percent or 40%
Now we will take any decimal number say 2.5
This 2.5 can also be written as 25 / 10, which is in the form of the fraction.
 Now in order to make the denominator 100, we will multiply the numerator and the denominator by 10, such that the fraction now becomes :
25 * 10 / ( 10 * 10 )
= 250 / 100
 Thus we call it 250 %
 Similarly if we have the decimal number as 0.57, we can write it in the form of  57 / 100
 So it will be 57 %
 To understand clearly about  how to solve equations, we can take the help of math online tutor, which will surely help you to solve the problems related getting the solutions to the given equations.
CBSE Board Syllabus can also be taken from the website and  get the detailed information about the  required subjects.

What is Prime Factorization

In the previous post we have discussed about How to learn Rational Number and In today's session we are going to discuss about What is Prime Factorization. By term factors we say that the numbers which completely divides the given number. So if we say that 3 and 2 are the factors of 6, it means that the number 6 is divisible by its factors 2 and 3. Now we will learn about what is prime factorization?  Finding all the prime factors of the given number is called the prime factorization. The method of finding the prime factors of the given number is called prime factorization.  We say that the number 70 can be factorized as follows:
70 = 35 * 2
 Further 35 are also written as 7 * 5, so the factors of the number 70 will be as follows:
70 = 2 * 7 * 5 * 1
Now we observe that the factors of the given number are all the prime numbers. So we can say  that the prime factors  of 70 are 2 * 7 * 5 * 1.
In the same way we take another number say 120, now we have  to find the factors of the given number  120 as 60 * 2, again 60 can be written as  30 * 2, similarly we write 30 as  15 * 2 and 15 can be written as 5 * 3. SO we write the number 120 as follows:
120 = 2 * 2 *  2 * 3 * 5.
Here we observe that the above shown factors are all prime numbers, so we say that 2, 2, 2, 3 and 5 are the prime factors of the given number 120. (know more about Prime Factorization, here)

   We will learn about decimal to percent calculator, by the help of online math tutor and it will help us to shoot all the troubles related to the problems. We can download Tamilnadu examination board sample papers to learn more about the syllabus of the particular subject.

How to learn Rational Number

Rational number is a very common number in mathematics and is used very frequently in applications of science, computers, engineering, etc.
Rational number is a type of number which can be represented in the form of a fraction like p/q, where p and q are integers and q is not equal to zero. We denote the set of rational number using a boldface or Unicode Q which is meant for quotient.
As we know that the denominator q can be equal to anything but not zero, so q can also be equal to 1 and because of this all the integers are rational numbers.
One important and very interesting point about a rational number is that the decimal expansion of the rational number does one of the two things: either it terminates itself after the finite sequence of digits or it starts repeating the same sequence of digits over and again.
There is a real number which is totally opposite of the rational number, which means a number which cannot be written or expressed in the form of a quotient or fraction p/q, where p and q are integers and q is equal to zero is known as irrational number.  (know more about Rational number, here)
The same point about the rational numbers goes wrong in case of irrational numbers and which is that the decimal expansion of an irrational number neither terminates itself ever nor it repeats the same sequence of digits again and again.
Rational numbers are quite dense in real numbers. We can prove that almost all the real numbers are irrational numbers: we know that we can easily count total number of rational numbers or they are countable but irrational numbers are uncountable in nature and since the real number line is consist of two types of numbers: rational numbers and irrational numbers, so we can say that almost all the real numbers are irrational.
In order to get help in topics: rational number, weibull distribution and icse previous year question papers, you can visit Tutorvista.com and In the next session we will discuss about What is Prime Factorization.

Fraction to Percent Calculator

In the previous post we have discussed about How to use Dividing Fractions Calculator and In today's session we are going to discuss about Fraction to Percent Calculator.
We need to know about the fractions and the percent before we work on the Fraction to Percent Calculator. Fractions are the numbers which are expressed as numerator / denominator. Here both the numerators and the denominators are whole numbers and denominator is not equal to zero. Now if we look at percent, we say that percent means out of 100. So if we have to convert the fraction to percent, we need to change the denominator to 100.  It can be done by two ways, one is by converting the fraction into its equivalent form such that the denominator becomes 100 and we will observe in the following examples, that it is not possible in some of the cases to make the denominator as 100. So the second method is to multiply the fraction by 100, we will get the result as the percentage.  In both the situations we get the same result. For instance if we have the fraction ¾ , we proceed by the first method to convert the denominator to 100, for this both the numerator and the denominator are multiplied by 25 and we get
 ( 3 * 25 ) / ( 4 * 25 )
= 75 / 100, thus it becomes 75 out of 100 and so we call it 75 %.
 On the other hand if the fraction is multiplied by 100, we get
= ( 3 / 4 ) * 100 %
= ( 3 * 100 ) / 4  %
 =  ( 3 * 25 ) %
= 75 %
So in both the cases we get the same percentage.

 In order to study Algebra Problems, we can take online help of the math online tutor and learn the basic concepts related to it.  We can visit the site of Maharashtra Board to download the syllabus of different subjects and classes.

How to use Dividing Fractions Calculator

Fractions are written in the form of a / b, where a and b are   whole numbers and b <> 0.  We can work on dividing fractions calculator by simply learning the rules of division of the fraction numbers. We need to know how to perform the multiplication of two fraction numbers before working on the division of fraction numbers. Let us look at the following problem :
Multiply 12 / 9 and 3/ 24
It can be written as: ( 12 / 9 ) * ( 3 / 24 )
Here we will multiply the numerator with the numerator and the denominator with the denominator and thus we get:
=  ( 12 * 3 ) / ( 9 * 24 )
  on cancelling we get:
1 / ( 3 * 2 )  = 1 / 6 Ans
Now we will look at how to perform the division of fractions.
For this we will convert the divisor to its reciprocal and the operation of division changes into the operation of multiplication. Now the problem changes into the simple problem of multiplication and thus it is solved. Now let us see at how to write the reciprocal of the divisor. If we have a fraction a / b, then its reciprocal will be b / a.  Let us take the problem as follows
 Divide 24 / 15 by  12 / 3
 So it can be written as   ( 24 / 15 ) ÷  ( 12 / 3)
Now we take the reciprocal of 12 / 3, which is  3 / 12. So we can write the above problem as :
  (24/15) * ( 3/12)   = 2 /5 ans.

 We can take online guidance of the mathematics tutor to learn How to Find the Area of a Triangle. The syllabus of central board of secondary education class x and class xii can be taken from the website and In the next session we will discuss about Fraction to Percent Calculator.

How to solve Scientific Notation Worksheet

 In today's session we are going to discuss about How to solve Scientific Notation Worksheet. We say that the scientific notation is the method of representing the data , which is commonly used by the scientists to represent very large amount of data or very  small amount of data  so that the processing and the scientific calculations of the numbers becomes easy and  scientists are able to process them to get the relevant output. We can always use the scientific notation to represent the very long figures, which we feel   that is difficult to read and process otherwise. We can look online for Scientific Notation Worksheet, to learn how to write the numbers in the form of scientific Notation. In order to convert the simple natural numbers, or the decimal numbers in form of scientific notation, we will express the number in the form of decimal and  the whole number should be always less than or equal to 9. So if we have a number 1234 , and we need to express this number in the form of scientific notation , then we write the same number as follows :    1.234 * 10>-3
In the same way if we have the number 12.54 and we need to convert it into scientific notation, we write:  1.254 * 10>1
Thus our purpose is to convert the decimal number in the form, such that there exist only one digit before the decimal. To bring the given number in this form, we will convert the number by multiplying or dividing the number by the power of 10.
  To learn about the mathematics topic Binomial Distribution, we must look into the text book of class 11, math. This topic can also be searched online in some of the math tutor. To know about the pattern of the questions in the question paper, we must look into CBSE Class 8 Sample Papers.

Order of Operations Worksheet

In the previous post we have discussed about number line worksheets
and In today's session we are going to discuss about Order of Operations Worksheet, For this we need to know the hierarchy is to be performed in order to get the accuracy in the output. To know more about the hierarchy, we must visit online Order Of Operations Worksheet, and thus it helps us to practice more about how the operations are performed.  Let us first discuss that why do we need to focus on the order of the operations to get the result of the given expressions.  If we do not follow the order of operations, then each time the expression is solved, we get the different result each time. Now if we follow the same set of pattern to solve the given expression then we will get same result every time.
 The order of operation to be followed for solving any mathematical expression is BODMAS.  Here we have:
 B for Bracket
O for OF operation
D for division
M for multiplication
A for Addition
S for Subtraction
 Thus we come to the conclusion that the   Brackets are to be solved first in the given expression, then we will solve the “of “operation in the expression if any. After this we perform the operation of Division followed by the operation of multiplication. After this addition operation in the expression is performed and at last we look for the subtraction operation if any exist in the expression. Thus globally we follow this order of the operation in order to get the solution for the mathematical expression which has more than one operation to be performed in it.

We also have Addition Worksheets online for learning about how to solve the expressions with addition operation. We also have Cbse Board Sample Papers for Class 8 available online to get the information about the pattern of the questions in the paper.

number line worksheets

To solve number line worksheets, we will first learn how to draw a number line and then we will learn how to plot the points on the number line. Once we have learned to plot the points on the number line, a child is able to learn the concept of addition, subtraction and comparison of the numbers on the number line.  To start with, we will first draw a straight line, with the marks on it at equal interval. Now we will observe that the number zero appears at the centre of the number line. The two ends of the number line are indicated by the arrows and the arrows indicate that the line extend endlessly in both the directions. On the right side of zero appears all the positive numbers and the negative numbers appears on the left side of the number line decreasing from zero. Another thing to be remembered is that the more we move towards right side of the number line , the numbers goes on increasing and the more we move towards left side of the number line, the  number goes on decreasing.  SO if we need to compare the two numbers with the help of the number line, we say that we will first mark the two numbers on the number line and then check which of the two numbers appear on the right. The number on the right side represents the larger number and the number on the left side represents the smaller number.  In the same way if we need to add some of the number to the given number, we move to the right and to subtract, we move to the left side.

fractional notation calculator

Previously we have discussed about area of equilateral triangle calculator and In today's session we are going to discuss about Fractional Notation Calculator, It will help the students for the study of 8th grade math, which will enhance the skills of the child to learn about the fractional notation.  We can find online information about cbse class 12 home science question bank which will guide the students to learn about the pattern of the paper in the fore coming examination. Now if we talk about the fractional notation, then we say that all the decimal numbers can be expressed in the form of the fraction numbers. So we simply have to remove the decimal and the number of digits after the decimal will be replaced by the power of 10 at the denominator.  Let’s look  at the following example :
1.23 can be written as 123 / 100. But here it is in the lowest form as it cannot be further divided into the lower form. (Know more about fraction in broad manner, here,)
 Similarly, we can take other numbers and see that the number can be converted into simpler form of the fraction number. So if we have the number 0.25, it can be written as: 0.25 = 25 / 100
On dividing the numerator and the denominator by 25 we get the fraction as ¼.
 Similarly we look at the percentage of any number and see how to convert it into the fractions. Suppose we need to convert 15 % in form of the fraction, then we say that 15% can be written as 15 / 100. Now we observe that   the HCF of the numerator and the denominator is 5, so we say that we divide the numerator and the denominator by 5 and we get 3 / 20.  So the percentage 15 % can be expressed as the fraction 3/20.
So the fraction notation convert will convert the various values which are either in the form of percent or decimal in the form of fraction numbers.
In the next session we will discuss about Simplifying Rational Expressions

and Read more maths topics of different grades such as how to solve inequalities with fractions in the upcoming sessions here.
